The “Scottish Clan” Reunions: Cumming-Duncan Annual Picnics 1944

The 19th annual reunion of the Scottish clan was held Tuesday Aug. 15., 1944 at Aroostook Valley Park with 52 present.  A picnic dinner was served after which races and horseshoe pitching was enjoyed.  A business meeting was held Chieftain Douglas Chapman of Washburn presiding.  The records of the last meeting and also the names of the boys and one girl in the Service were read.  They are as follows-

It was voted to purchase a Service flag before the next meeting.
It was voted to have a list of the names of those in the Service in the report.

It was voted to have the picnic at Aroostook Valley Park next year about the same time. Talks were given by: D. L. Duncan of Washburn and Mrs. Elizabeth Prescott of Greenfield, Mass.
Mrs. Barbara Cumming sent greetings to the clan by her
Collection $7.47.
Voted to instruct Sec’y to send a card of greetings to her from the clan also to D. L. Duncan on his birthday Sept. 28.
