Here’s an article about Scottish immigration to Canada that refers to the community encompassing Kincardine, Bon Accord, and Kintore:
“Within five years of its birth in 1873, the 800-strong ‘Scotch Colony’ of New Kincardineshire in western New Brunswick had established two churches and four schools in different corners of the 50,000-acre settlement and in 1892 called a Scottish pastor, who remained in post for the next 52 years.”
The photograph above shows the old structure that served as the school for the area of the Scotch Colony know as Bon Accord. It is no longer standing.
