I have a never-ending interest in genealogy. It started when I went to my father’s family reunion and I was introduced to the family tree on paper, handwritten. There’s something about figuring out the pieces of the puzzle and trying to put the bits of information into the correct spot. The past several years I’ve been working on the history of Maine’s Swedish Colony, centered around the New Sweden area. I have worked off and on over the years on the Duncan-Cumming family, prodded by annual summer reunions. Now I hope to find out more about how the Scotch Colony grew and how the people in the Kincardine and Kintore communities lived.

Hello, I am new to looking up my ancestors. I have little to go on. I found you page and think I have heard of Duncan name from when I was a kid. If you get millions of these request, I will understand why you do not answer. My fathers name is John Floyd Cumming. His mother’s Name is Mable Mc Call Cumming ( 9/10/1908) I believe my grandfather was born in 1900. I am not sure of his name, Jack, john or Stewart is what I am looking at now. I am trying to search for his records.
